Paintings: The Vita series

I made a series of paintings of the character Vita and her world. She paints her lines through different situations, places, seasons. She continues on her road no matter what. She is focused on getting her white lines down, one by one, trying to have some kind of control, even though she knows that it is futile. It gives her something to do, and a sense of meaning. It is a meditation.

Paintings: The mothership series

A series of paintings, drawings and sketches for an exhibit at Candyland in Stockholm 2022. The reoccurring image is the mother in the water floating with children on her back. Another is the boy in the rubberboat.  The water is dark, the ship or boat is the container that holds and protects the passengers. And the passengers have to deal with not being in control. The forces of nature are more powerful than we are. It is about surrendering to this life.
